성매매피해여성의 적응유연성 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구

A Phenomenological Study on Resilience Experiences of Sexually Exploited Women

본 연구는 성매매피해여성의 적응유연성 경험이 갖는 의미와 본질을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 성매매 탈출 후 사회에서 3년 이상 정착한 성매매피해여성 7명 을 대상으로 심층면접을 하였고, Giorgi의 현상학적 연 구방법을 활용하여 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결 과 성매매피해여성의 적응유연성 경험은 ‘죽느냐 사느 냐의 갈림길에서 생존의 투지를 발현함’, ‘집단역동 속에 서 타인의 관점을 조망하는 능력이 생김’, ‘시스템의 배 려와 지원으로 새 삶에 대한 기대를 가짐’, ‘가족 및 공 동체 유대를 새롭게 도모함’, ‘과거의 고리에서 벗어나고 자 하는 용기를 스스로 북돋움’, ‘신앙과 자기성찰 속에 서 삶의 의미를 재구성함’, ‘세상 밖으로 나와 자립과 노 동의 가치를 발견함’, ‘새로운 생활에 점차 뿌리를 내림’ 으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 성매매피해여성의 적응 유연성을 촉진시킬 수 있는 사회복지 실천적 방안을 제 시하였다.

This study aims to explore the meaning and the essence of resilience experiences of female victims of prostitution. For this purpose, data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven sexually exploited women who have escaped from prostitution and settled in the society for three years or longer, and were analyzed by using the phenomenological method suggested by Georgi. As a result of the analysis, the components of resilience experiences were ‘expressing the fighting spirit for survival at crossroads of life and death’, ‘having an ability to view another persons’s perspective in group dynamics’, ‘having expectations for a new life thanks to care and support from a system’, ‘newly promoting bond with family and community’, ‘arousing the courage to escape from the loop of the past on one’s own’, ‘reconstituting the meaning of life in religious belief and self-examination’, ‘discovering the value of self-reliance and labor out in the world’ and ‘gradually taking root in the new life’. Based on the study results, practical plans for social welfare were presented in order to facilitate resilience of the sexually exploited women.
