시각장애인 점술가의 생애사 연구

A Biographical Research on a Fortune-teller with an Acquired Visual Impairment

본 연구는 6.25 전쟁 당시 두 눈을 실명한 전맹 시각 장애인의 생애사 연구로서 그의 삶의 이야기를 통해 장 애인 스스로에 대한 인식과 우리 사회의 구체적 일반성 을 드러내고자 했다. 본 연구에서는 후천적 장애인이 증가하는 시점에서 그들의 삶에 대한 통찰력을 얻기 위 해 Mandelbaum의 생애사 방법론으로 접근했다. 이미 장애인들은 장애인이란 낙인(stigma)을 받았을 때 그들의 신체는 물론 영혼에까지 하나의 기호로써 깊 이 각인되어 있다. 따라서 장애인들에 대한 낙인이 사 회적 차원에서 지워지기 위해서는 단기간에 걸친 개입 이 아니라 생애주기에 따라 일생을 통해 개입하여 해결, 완화시켜 주어야만 할 것이다. 결론은 장애인에 관한 접근에 있어 평생의 과업으로써 낙인 지우기에 대한 관 심이 필요하다고 할 것이다. 마지막으로 장애인복지 실 천차원에서 낙인을 벗기 위한 인문학적 프로그램의 구 성과 실천을 제언하였다.

This research is about a person who has permanently visually impaired during the Korean War. This research tries to illuminate the recognition of his disability and concrete generality through his life story. To get a insight about the life, this research approaches with Madelbaum biographical research methodology. A person with disability already has a stigma not only in their physical but also in their deepest mind. Therefore, to remove the stigma of the social level, lifelong intervention practice is necessary by life cycle. As a result, removing stigma as a lifelong task is what social workers try to focus on. Finally, I propose development and application humanities education program.
