The aesthetical norms took no more effect on the young artists after 1945. Through an installation work, Auschwitz-Demonstration(1945-64), a German artist Joseph Beuys stirred the German society to retrospect the painful history of Auschwitz and Holocaust. He presents the responsibilities of artists and the historical consciousness on the category of contemporary art through this installation. As a question if an art could be expressed after Auschwitz, it connotes both the self-reflection and introspection.
