노인의 지역사회 안전인식이 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Community Safety Perception on Subjective Well-being among the Elderly

본 연구는 노인의 지역사회 안전인식 수준을 살펴보고, 각 영역별 지역사회 안전인식이 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 통계청의 2014년 사회조사 데이터를 활용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 지역사회 안전인식 중 교통안전시설 불안감, 범죄위험 불안감, 타인의 준법수준 인식, 미래 안전상태 불안감이 노인의 주관적 안녕감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 노인의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 노인의 특성을 고려하여 지역사회 안전을 향상시킬 수 있는 정책 및 서비스가 제공되어야 할 필요성을 보여주고 있다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the level of community safety perception of older persons and to identify the effects of community safety perception on subjective well-being among older persons. The data from Statistics Korea 2014 Social Survey were used for the analyses. The findings show that anxiety about traffic safety, anxiety about crime risk, perceived law-abiding level of others, anxiety about safety of the future society have significant effects on subjective well-being among the elderly. Results of the study suggest that policy and service interventions targeting community safety for older people should be critical in order to improve quality of life of the elderly persons.
