김치냉장고 화재분석 및 발화원인에 관한 연구

A Study on the Fire Cause of Expanding Burning Fire Analysis and Kimchi Refrigerator

현대 생활에서 필수품으로 자리 잡은 김치냉장고의 사용은 꾸준히 증가하였으며, 그에 따라 해마다 화재건수 역시 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 김치냉장고는 전기, 전자부품을 이용하여 구동되는 기계 결합체로 한번 설치가 되면 1년 365일 통전되는 제품으로써 잠재적인 화재위험성이 높은 제품이다. 또한 설치 사용상 필요한 공간적 부분을 잊고 사용하였을 때 발열 개연성은 충분하다. 본 연구에서는 김치냉장고에 대한 구조원리 및 화재발생 메커니즘을 이해하려한다. 화재사례를 기초로 하여 실험을 진행하였고, 이를 바탕으로 정확한 화재원인 판정에 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다.

A kimchi refrigerator is becoming one of daily necessaries in modern times. Due to the significant increase of use, the risk of ignition and combustion is also significantly increased. As a kimchi refrigerator is one of electronic goods that is operated twenty-four hours per day, 365 days per year, there is a strong chance for potential fire. In addition, a kimchi refrigerator is located at the limited space along with continuous operation that will increased the chance of ignition at the refrigerator. The purpose of this study is to investigate the fundamental structural principle of kimchi refrigerator and its fire initiation mechanism. The study investigated previous fire cases associated with a kimchi refrigerator for setting the experimental study of kimchi refrigerator. The study finally conducted the experimental study to investigate the causes of fire ignition when the kimchi refrigerator was situated at the limited space and heavy operation situation. This study will be a fundamental source and material that can help a fire investigator to find out and prove the cause of a fire.
