The Development of the Field Placement Manual Based on National Competency Standard(NCS) - Focusing on Hair-Beauty Capacity -

This study is to develop a curriculum for field placement in the beauty industry. NSC is a standardized method for improving capability and knowledge scientifically and systematically in order for individuals to perform their jobs and tasks successfully. To develop a curriculum for workers in the beauty industry field, the following methodology is used. First, a questionnaire is distributed and a classification method is used to draw out a proper education program. This study can contribute to improving the job capability of employers working in the beauty industry. Second, it can improve firms’ competitive power and the national competitive edge as well by introducing a field-oriented training program to the beauty industry. In the future, a developed education is to be applied and evaluated through more intensified linking among industry, academia, and research.
