동대장자유형의 계층 분화와 그 의미

Diversification of the Stratified Rank and its Meaning in the Dongdazhangzi Cultural Pattern

동대장자유형은 전국시대 전기부터 중기까지 요서 남부지역을 중심으로 유행했던 십이대영자문화의 하위유형이다. 다른 지역문화와는 달리 다수 기종에서 전국연계 유물들이 높은 비중으로 확인되고 있는 점이 특징이다. 기본적으로는 청동단검문화에 기반하는 토착문화라는 점을 고려할 때 이는 토착집단의 권력 기반이나 대외적인 상호작용이 강화되는 양상을 반영하는 것으로 생각된다. 동대장자유형은 십이대영자문화의 여러 하위유형 중에 분묘 규모와 부장유물의 복합도가 가장 다양하여 계층 분화의 양상들이 더욱 뚜렷하게 확인된다. 동대장자유형은 동대장자 유적을 중심으로 유적 간은 4등급, 유적 내에서는 최대 6등급으로 각각 분화되어 있었는데, 이 가운데 최고 등급 분묘들은 동대장자 유적에만 밀집되어 있다. 동대장자유형의 집단들은 동대장자 유적 근처에서 최고 거점을 형성하여 건창 일대를 중심으로 성장하였고, 이 과정에서 각각 객좌 일대와 금주 일대를 거점화하면서 발전하였다. 이는 결국 동대장자 집단의 영향력이 주변 지역으로 확대되는 과정을 의미한다. 그러므로 동대장자 집단은 전국시대 요서 남부지역에서 가장 영향력이 큰 정치체를 형성하고 있었다고 할 수 있다. 또한 동대장자 집단은 연과 직접 교류하였으며, 정가와자 집단과도 일정하게 교류하였는데, 이는 고조선의 관계망과 일정부분 관련되는 것이라고 할 수 있다

The Dongdazhangzi Culture Pattern is a sub pattern of the Shiertaiyingzhi Culture which was popular in the Southern Laoxi region of the Warring States Period. Unlike other regional cultures, it was characterized a high proportion of Yan system’s artifacts. Considering that the Dongdazhangzi Culture Pattern was based on an indigenous culture that was itself based on the Bronze Daggers Culture, it seems to indicate that the power base or the interaction was strengthened. The Dongdazhangzi Culture Pattern is the most diversified in the Shiertaiyingzhi Culture in terms of the tomb’s size, and the complexity of the excavated artifacts, from which the diversification of classes is clearly identified. The Dongdazhangzi Culture Pattern has been divided into 6 classes among the sites, and up to 6 classes inside the site with a focus on the Dongdazhangzi Site. Among them, the highest class tombs are concentered in the Dongdazhangzi Site only. The groups of the Dongdazhangzi Culture Pattern formed hubs in the Dongdazhangzi site and was developed centering on the Jianchang. It spread its territory to focus on areas of Kazuo and Jinzhou. This means that the influence of the Dongdazhangzi group expanded to surrounding areas. Hence it is likely that the Dongdazhangzi group formed the most influential polity in the southern Laoxi region of the Warring States Period. As described above, it is highly likely that the polity made direct exchanges with the Yan, and in this process, related information was transmitted to. Therefore, its relation to the history of Gojoseon shall also be taken into consideration.
