藤塚鄰의 문헌 수집과 華東唱酬集

Chikashi Fujitsuka(藤塚鄰)’s collection of literature and Hwadongchangsujib ( 華東唱酬集 )

藤塚鄰(후지즈카 치카시, 1879~1948)의 문헌 수집과 연구 활동의 양상에 대한 본격적인 탐색은 시작의 단계라고 할 수 있다. 여기서는 이 연구의 기초 작업으로서 藤塚鄰의 연구 활동에 관한 자료들을 검토한 뒤 藤塚鄰의 문헌 수집과 장서의 유전에 대해 살펴보았다. 그리고 조선 말기 譯官 金秉 善(1830~1891)이 編한 華東唱酬集 을 藤塚鄰이 어떻게 입수하고 활용 하였는지 검토하였다.현재, 藤塚鄰연구의 기초라고 할 저술목록이 완정되어 있지 않다. 필자는 누락된 논문의 일부를 확인하였다. 또 칼럼류 등 藤塚鄰의 연구 활동이나 학문 경향 등을 파악할 수 있는 자료들의 정리도 필요하다. 藤塚鄰의 문헌 수집은 크게 ◯1 대학 졸업 후 나고야 제8고등학교 재직 시기(1908년 8월~ ), ◯2 북경 유학 시절(1921~23년), ◯3 경성제국대학 교수로 부임하여 서울에 살던 기간(1926~40년)으로 나뉜다. 그의 장서는 증여나 교환으로 이루어지기도 하였다. 藤塚鄰구장서의 현소장처는 크게 ◯1 추사박물관, ◯2 하버드옌칭도서관, ◯3 京都, ◯4 기타 기관 및 개인으로 구분 된다. 이 가운데 일본 동양문고 등에 소장된 華東唱酬集 은 1920년대 끝 무렵, 김병선의 손자를 통해 藤塚鄰에게 들어간 것으로 추정된다. 그는 화동 창수집 의 존재를 밝히지는 않았지만 이 책을 학습과 연구에 활용하였다. 그 방법과 흔적을 형태적으로 구분하면 標點과 校正, 메모 등으로 대별할수 있다. 그는 자신이 소장한 원본 등을 토대로 실증적인 연구를 하는 동시에 華東唱酬集 에서 인물정보를 취득하고 그것을 보완하였다. 또 이 책을 통해 새로운 작품이나 문헌에 관한 정보를 얻었고 그것을 원본과 대조하여 내용을 보완하였다.

Investigations of Chikashi Fujitsuka’s (1879~1948) research activities and collection of literature are still in the early stages. This study performs a review of related works, and examines Chikashi Fujitsuka’s collection of literature and books previously housed in his library. As an example, this study reviews the acquisition and utilization of Hwadongchangsujib, compiled by the interpreter Kim Byeong-seon (1830~1891) during the late Joseon dynasty. The list of works by Chikashi Fujitsuka is still incomplete. This study identified the articles excluded from the list. It was also necessary to organize columns and other materials containing information on Chikashi Fujitsuka’s research activities and academic endeavors. Chikashi Fujitsuka’s collection of literature can be largely divided into the following periods : ◯1 during his employment at Nagoya’s Eighth High School (beginning August 1908), ◯2 while studying abroad in Beijing (1921~23), and ◯3 while living in Korea as a professor at Keijō Imperial University (1926~40). Some of his books were donated or exchanged. Today, the books owned by Chikashi Fujitsuka can be found at : ◯1 Chusa Museum, ◯2 Harvard-Yenching Library, ◯3 Kyoto and, ◯4 other organizations or individual collections. Hwadongchangsujib, housed in the Oriental Library of Japan, was acquired by Chikashi Fujitsuka in the late 1920s through the grandson of Kim Byeong-seon. Chikashi Fujitsuka did not mention his ownership of Hwadongchangsujib, but used the book as a key reference in his academic and research activities. This is evident in his mark-ups, proofreading marks, and memos left in the book. While conducting empirical studies based on his collection of original documents, he obtained information on important figures from Hwadongchangsujib. In addition, he learned about new works or literature, and supplemented his research through comparison with originals.
