지역아동센터 내 배려관계형성 프로그램 개발 및 효과연구

Effects of a Program for Developing Caring Relationships in a Community Child Center

본 연구의 목적은 지역아동센터 맥락에 기반한 배려관계형성 프로그램을 개발하고 프로그램의 효과를 검증하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 배려관계 형성에 대한 이론적 문헌과 배려관련 프로그램에 대한 연구를 검토하고 지역아동센터 구성원에 대한 요구조사와 6개월에 걸친 지역아동센터 관찰과 구성원 면담에 기반하여 센터종사자와 교사용 교육(3차시)과 10회기의 아동 대상 프로그램을 개발하였다. 센터 규모와 운영목표가 유사한 4개 지역아동센터 중 실험집단과 통제집단으로 각 2개의 센터를 선정하였고, 실험집단에 속한 센터별로 매주 1회씩 총 10주에 걸쳐 프로그램을 운영하였다. 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위해 양적자료와 질적자료를 종합하였다. 먼저, 배려행동 사전검사점수와 학년별 아동의 차별적 구성을 공분산분석을 통해 통계적으로 통제하고 배려행동 사후검사점수에서 실험집단과 통제집단의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 실험집단이 통제집단보다 유의미하게 높은 점수를 나타내었다. 이와 더불어 프로그램 진행과정과 프로그램 종료 후 아동의 행동에 대한 관찰과 면담 자료를 분석한 결과, 실험집단의 센터 구성원 간 배려관계가 형성되고 아동들의 배려행동이 증진되고 유지되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 아동들 간에 서로의 생각과 감정을 공유하는 친밀한 대화를 자주 나누게 되었고, 서로를 이해하고 고마움을 표현하는 기회를 만들게 되면서 배려관계가 지속될 수 있는 분위기가 만들어졌다. 이러한 결과는 본 연구에서 개발한 배려관계형성 프로그램이 효과가 있음을 나타낸다고 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a program for promoting caring relationships in a community child center and to examine the effect of the program. Based on the literature about caring and caring enhancing programs with an understanding about the context of community child centers, a caring relationship enhancement program was developed. The program was administered at two different centers once a week over 10 weeks. The effects of the program were examined by integrating an experimental-control group with pre-and post test design and observation/interview data during and after the program. The finding shows that there is a significant difference in children’s caring behaviors between experimental and control groups, indicating the effect of program on the experimental group. Also observation and interview data during and after the program revealed sustaining effects of the program on children’s and center teachers’ caring behaviors and attitudes which played a role for developing caring relationships in the community child center.
