포스트모던 그림책 읽기활동이 유아의 창의성과 정서지능에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Reading Post-Modern Picture Books on the Creativity and Emotional Intelligence of Young Children

이 연구의 목적은 포스트모던 그림책 읽기 활동이 유아의 창의성과 정서지능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 만 5세 47명(실험집단 25명, 비교집단 25명)을 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 실험집단에는 2014년 4월 15일부터 7월 18일까지 12주 동안 24회에 걸쳐 포스트모던 그림책 읽기 활동을 실시하였고, 비교집단은 일반 그림책 읽기 활동을 실시하였다. 실험처치의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 실험처치 전후의 창의성과 정서지능을 측정하여 공변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 포스트모던 그림책 읽기 활동을 경험한 실험 집단의 유아들은 비교 집단 유아들보다 창의성과 정서지능이 향상되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 포스트모던 그림책 읽기 활동은 유아의 창의성과 정서지능 증진에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of reading a post-modern picture books on the creativity and emotional intelligence of young children. To solve this research problem, 5-year old 25 children have been chosen from G public kindergarten located in Incheon city as an experimental group to carry reading the post-modern picture books, while another 5-year old 22 children near P public kindergarten as a comparative group have been read general picture books The results of this study are as follows. First, Reading the post-modern picture books has a great impact on creativity of the young children. Second, Reading the post-modern picture books has a great impact on emotion intelligence of the young children. In conclusion, reading the post-modern picture books can be very effective to enhance the creativity and emotion intelligence of the young children based on the results above. This study has significant meaning for teaching-learning method in the aspect of both creativity and emotion intelligence of the young children.
