Actual Condition Survey and Implication through the Case Study of Movable Housing

Due to increasing requirements of reflecting a new lifestyle, movable housing has emerged as a new form of residential houses. The purpose of this study was to investigate the improvement of movable housing environments through actual condition survey. For this study, field research and in-depth interviews were conducted and the construction plans were examined through the type and usage of these houses. Based on the results of the critical review, the frameworks of this study were as follows: habitability, rapidity, economic-feasibility and sustainability. The results of this study suggest that movable housing consists of several modules that can be combined into various types. Mostly, it is used for short-term period because it can be moved and most of them are diminutive. Compared to a framework, habitability is the most vulnerable component in term of the insufficiency of previous design sources and relevant regulations. In conclusion, standard modules with various combination that reflect the needs of the users should be developed and the system should be made in a variety of applications that can be utilized by modules for the settlement of new modular housing types
