아동발열관리에 대한 부모 교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과

Development and Effects of A Parent Education Program for Childhood Fever Management

연구는 부모의 아동발열관리를 위한 과학적 근거에 기반을 둔 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 평가하고자 시도되었다. 교육 프로그램은 교수체제설계에 의해 개발되었으며, 아동발열관리의 6개의 대분류를 두고 각각 하부 구성요소를 두었다. 교육매체는 책자와 리플릿으로 제작되었다. 개발된 프로그램은 실험군 20명과 대조군 21명으로 구성된 대상자에게 2010년 12월 3일부터 17일까지 2회에 걸쳐서 파워포인트 활용한 강의와 질의응답으로 시행됐었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 아동발열관리에 대한 부모 교육 프로그램의 적용 전과 후의 실험군과 대조군 아동발열관리 지식점수(t=6.652, p<.001)와 지각된 행위 통제(t=2.600, p<.014)는 차이가 있었다. 아동발열관리에 대한 부모 교육 프로그램은 아동발열관리에 대한 지식의 향상을 가져오는 것으로 파악되어, 부모가 아동의 발열을 가정, 병원, 지역사회에서 관리할 수 있도록 활용 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to develop an evidence-based parent education program to manage fever in childhood and to assess the effect of the program. Methods: using a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design, 41 participants were assigned to an experimental(n=20) or a control group(n=21). The data were collected from December 3 to December 17, 2010 and the collected data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Result: At the conclusion of the educational program, scores for knowledge and perceived behavioral control were obtained from both groups. there were statistically significant differences in levels of knowledge regarding childhood fever management(t=6.652, p<.001) and perceived behavioral control(t=2.600, p=.014) between the experimental and control groups. Conclusion: Finding indicated that the parent education program developed in this study can enhance parents knowledge and decision making capabilities in childhood fever management. Accordingly, this program will be available as the effective nursing intervention of parents to cope with fever in their children.
