This study has been performed to verify the effect of the program for preventing the online game addiction, and to settle down the sound online game culture. To achieve the purpose of this study, We have made a program for preventing online game addiction, applied this to those who like the online game, and measured the addiction trends. The experimental method has been used in this thesis. The standard for examining the trends of the children s online game addiction written by Lee, Chul Hyun in 2006 has also been utilized for inventing the program and proving its effect. The results are as followings. First, after the program, the experimental group showed that there was a meaningful difference at the level of 5%, but no meaningful difference in the comparison group, which verifies that this prevention program has an effect on the online game addiction of the children. Second, based on the result of the addiction score between these two groups, there is a meaningful difference at the level of 5%, which also mean the same effect as mentioned in the above. So this program for primary students has been proved to be effective in preventing their online game addiction.
