농업의 다원적 기능에 관한 초등학교 교과서 내용분석

An Content Analysis on the Multifuctionality of Agriculture Contents of Elementary School Textbooks

이 연구의 목적은 2009 개정 교육과정이 적용된 초등학교 1~4학년의 전 교과 교과서를 대상으로한 교과서 내용분석을 통해, 초등 교과서에 나타난 농업의 다원적 기능을 살펴봄으로써 초등 교양농 업교육의 현황을 파악하는 데에 있다. 이를 위하여 내용분석법을 활용하였으며, 내용분석법의 절차에 따라 구체적인 단계를 구성하였다. 연구 결과에 따라 얻게 된 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 농업의 다원적 기능의 내용 측면 분석 결과, 초등학교 1~4학년 교과서가 제공하고 있는 농업의 다원적 기능의 내용은 특정 영역 및 기능에 편중되어 있었으며, 특히 농업과 경제 영역이 전체의 절반을 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학년 측면에서 교육 내용을 분석한 결과, 각 학년별 전체 농업의 다원적 기능 빈도는 전반적으로 유사하게 나타났으나, 각 영역 및 기능에 따라 학년별로 증가하거나 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 셋째, 교과 측면에서 분석한 결과, 농업의 다원적 기능은 전반적으로 단어 및 단순 소재의 방식으로 제시되고 있었다. 이와 같은 결론을 토대로 상대적으로 교과서에 포함 비중이 적은 농업과 환경 및 농업과 사회 영역의 제공 방안 마련의 필요성, 교과서 내 포함 빈도가 낮은 것으로 나타난 환경정화 ․ 자연재해 방지 ․ 농촌개발과 균형 발전 기능에 대한 교사의 능동적 설명 노력의 필요성에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to determine the current status of primary general agricultural education as the multifunctionality of agriculture appeared in elementary school textbooks through the content analysis that conducting the entire curriculum textbooks from the first grade to fourth grade in elementary school which were revised in 2009. It was used for the content analysis it was configured to specific steps in the procedure of the content analysis. In accordance with the result of study, the conclusion is as follows. First, the result of content analysis of the multifunctionality of agriculture, the contents of agricultural multifunctionality in elementary school 1-4 grades textbook has been concentrated in certain areas and functions, in particular economic and agriculture area covered more than a half of the total area. Second, the result of educational content analysis of the grade, the frequency of each grade overall agricultural multifunctonality is generally similar, however it seemed to increase or decrease as each function and area depending on the grade level. Third, the result of curriculum analysis, the agricultural multifunctionality has been generally presented a simple manner of words. Based on the conclusion, there are two proposals (1) the need of providing the areas of ‘agriculture and environment’ and ‘agriculture and society’ relatively small in the elementary school textbook, (2) the need of teachers efforts actively describing of the function that balanced rural development, the prevention of natural disaster, and the environmental purification showing low frequency in the elementary school textbook.
