본 연구는 양성평등관점의 실과 교수ㆍ학습 방법이 아동의 양성평등의식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 본 연구의 대상은 경기도 가평군에 위치한 유사 규모 초등학교 2개교 6학년학생을 대상을 두 집단 간 양성평등의식의 동질성을 검증한 후 실험처치를 위한 연구도구로 양성평등교육 프로그램을 실험집단에 20회 실시하였고, 통제집단에는 일반적인 실과수업을 실시하였다. 두 집단의 동질성 여부와 사후 검사를 위해 SPSS/windows 14.0K 프로그램을 사용하여 신뢰도 검증, t-검증을 실시하였고, 투입한 프로그램의 효과를 측정하기 위해서는 집단 내 paired t-검증을 실시하였다. 이상의 연구를 통해 두 집단의 양성평등의식 사전, 사후검사를 비교한 결과 p＜.005 수준에서 양성평등 실과 교수ㆍ학습 프로그램을 투입한 실험집단에서는 양성평등의식이 영향을 받았음을 알 수 있는유의한 차이가 나타났다. 그러나 양성평등 프로그램을 투입하지 않고 전통적인 방법으로 교수ㆍ학습을실시한 비교집단에서는 실험전과 실험 후에 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 양성평등교육을 위한 실과수업에서 양성평등 교수ㆍ학습 프로그램을 투입하여 아동의 양성평등의식을 향상시키는데 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다는 것을 알 수 있다.
The purpose of this study is to examine whether practical arts teaching-learning program from the of gender equality affects elementary school children s gender - equality consciousness. In order to this purpose, the author reviewed theoretical background and previous researches, and devised the practical arts teaching-learning program newly and applied to the practical arts education. This study hypothesized that after executing a gender equality education program, children in the experiment group will show significantly higher improvement than those in the control group, in their gender equality consciousness. To verify hypotheses above, it was applied a gender equality education program to 10 of an experiment group and 9 of a control group that consisted of the 6th grade children at 2 elementary schools in Gapyeong County, Kyonggi Province, and executing the program, measured their gender- equality consciousness and conducted to verify the effect of the program. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows : 1) In gender-equality consciousness, the experiment group participated in gender equality education program devised newly was significantly higher than the control group did not. 2) The difference between pre-test and post-test, in control group educated by traditional method without applying education program, did not appear. It was identified that the application of the devised gender- equality educational program improved children s gender-equality consciousness, therefore, we could know which is proven to be effective. Thus, based on these results, there should be continuous educational efforts to improve children s understanding of gender roles and gender-equality consciousness.
