이 연구의 목적은 Jigsaw 응용 협동학습의 이론에 기초하여, 중학교 기술교과의 효율적인 수업모형을 제고하기 위해 성별과 학업성취수준에 따라 학업성취도에 미치는 효과를 구명하는 데 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적에 달성하기 위하여 Jigsaw 응용 협동학습 모형이 중학교 1학년 기술․가정 ‘미래의 기술’단원의 학업 성취에 미치는 효과를 구명할 수 있는 실험을 계획하였다. 이 연구를 진행하기 위해 실험집단에 Jigsaw 응용 협동학습 모형을 적용한 수업을 실시하였고, 통제집단에는 전통적 학습 방법을 적용한 수업을 실시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. Jigsaw 응용 협동학습이 전통적 수업 방법보다 중학교 1학년 기술․가정 ‘미래의 기술’ 단원에서의 학업성취도가 더 높았다. 2. Jigsaw 응용 협동학습이 전통적 수업 방법보다 학업성취수준이 중․하위수준인 학생들에게는 학업성취도 향상에 더 효과적이었다. 따라서, 이 연구의 결과를 통해 ‘미래의 기술’ 단원에서는 전통적 학습 방법보다 Jigsaw 응용 협동학습 방법이 학습자의 학업성취도에 효과적이라는 사실이 검증되었다. 이 연구의 결과를 토대로 다양한 학습 내용에 맞게 Jigsaw 응용 협동학습 모형을 적용할 수 있는 후속 연구가 이루어져야한다.
The purpose of this study was to probe the effect of applied Jigsaw cooperative learning model on academic achievement based on gender and academic achievement level and to enhance the effective instruction model in middle school technology education. To achieve the purpose of this study, an experiment was planned, which could probe the effect of applied Jigsaw cooperative learning model on academic achievement in the section among the first year course of technology education in middle school titled the future of the technology . For this study, classes with applied Jigsaw cooperative learning method were conducted in experimental group and classes with traditional learning method were conducted in control group. The result from this study were follows. 1. The experimental group showed higher academic achievement than the control group in the section the future of the technology . 2. Applied Jigsaw cooperative learning method was more effective to high, middle and low level students in improving academic achievement than traditional learning method. Through the results of this study, it was verified that applied Jigsaw cooperative learning method was effective in academic achievement in the section the future of the technology than traditional learning method. Based on the results of this study, subsequent studies on applied Jigsaw cooperative learning model for attitude, performance task ability should be conducted.
