본 연구는 실과 교과를 통한 진로교육의 실태 분석과 체계적인 진로교육 방안 모색을 위하여 실과 교과서 내용에 포함되어 있는 진로교육 내용 요소를 분석하고자 한다. 실과 교과서 분석은 기술, 대응, 결론의 분석 절차와 ‘초등학교 진로교육 목표 및 내용 체계’의 분석틀에 의해 이루어졌다. 실과 교과서에 나타난 진로교육 요소는 첫째, 초등학교 진로교육의 영역인 ‘자아 이해’, ‘일과 직업 세계’, ‘일과 직업에 대한 태도와 습관 형성’, ‘일과 학습’, ‘진로 계획’ 모두를 포함하고 있다. 둘째, ‘일과 학습’ 영역은 3개의 하위목표 중 학업성취가 직업 생활에 주는 이점에 관련된 목표위주의 내용이 제시되고 있다. 이러한 현상은 5학년과 6학년 모두에서 그러하다. 따라서 음식 만들기, 생활용품 만들기, 전자 회로 꾸미기 등의 실습 활동과 연계하여 다양한 일과 직업 세계가 요구하는 자질 특성의 이해에 관련된 내용을 다룰 필요가 있다. 셋째, ‘진로 계획’ 영역은 5학년에서는 다루어지지 않았으나, 6학년에서는 ‘일과 진로’ 단원에서 진로 목표 설정의 중요성과 자신의 적성에 맞는 진로 계획을 세우는 활동을 제시하고 있다.
The purpose of this study is to find out the constituents for career education in practical arts textbook. The study was conducted in the following 3 steps: description, correspondence, conclusion. The frame of content analysis is ‘objective and content criteria for career education in primary school . The five categories(self understanding, world of work and job, attitudes toward work and job, work-based learning, career planning) of career education objectives and contents were reflected in fifth grade and sixth grade practical arts textbook. In the category of Work-based learning the textbook included the contents related to only one sub-objective, benefit from academic success in job life. The fifth grade textbook did not include the objectives and contents related to the category of career planning . However sixth grade textbook included the contents related to the establishment of job goals and career plans suitable to aptitude.
