The combined generation of heat and electricity effectively satisfies the desire for rational use of primary energy. Co-generation is advantage in thermodynamics as against conventional power station producing electricity only. However its application shall be carefully studied to meet the requirement of each case. This article describes the characteristics of various methods in application.
