The purpose of this study is to explore the differences between self-leadership and employment strategies based on English proficiency of university students. A total of 600 university students participated in this study and a questionnaire with 74 items was administered to the students. The questionnaire consists of self-leadership, employment strategies, entrepreneurial self-efficacy and intention with demographic survey. Among them, entrepreneurial self-efficacy and intention are excluded. The results of this study confirm that English ability, self-leadership and employment strategies are correlated. The findings are that self-leadership is the overall average level of 3.245, employment strategies are the overall average level of 3.026. The English proficiency is classified into advanced group more than 800 points, intermediate group more than 670 points, basic group less than 670 points on the basis of TOEIC score. If proficiency is high, the level of self-leadership and employment strategies is high. Therefore, the correlation among proficiency, self-leadership, and employment strategies is revealed. Based on the findings, some pedagogical suggestions are made for English proficiency about some development for programs and curriculum of self-leadership and employment strategies on the university level in Korea.
