The main purpose of this study was to analyze teacher questions presented in the current elementary English teachers’ guidebook. This study investigated five 6th grade teachers’ guidebooks as well as teachers’ guidebooks across all grade levels in terms of question forms, function/content, and purpose. The results were as follows. On average, the five 6th grade teachers’ guidebooks presented: 1) 18.2 teacher questions per class period; 2) most teacherquestions were in the 1stand 4th period of the class to check students’ understanding of the lesson content; 3) most teacher questions were wh-questions(76.3.0%) regarding form, study-related questions(75.8%) regarding content, and display questions(74.8%) regarding purpose. On average, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade teachers’ guidebooks presented: 1) 18.7(3rd), 18.2(4th). 17.7(5th), 18.5(6th) teacher questions, respectively 2) each guidebook of five kinds showed differences across grade levels. The results were discussed in comparison with those of previous research in terms of teacher question types and numbers, and some suggestions were made based on the results.
