문경의 <아리랑> 문화콘텐츠 개발 전략

Development Strategy of Cultural contents according to Arirang in Mungyeong

유네스코 세계문화유산 목록에 <아리랑>이 공식 등재되면 <아리랑>에 대한 국내외의 관심이 높아져 글로벌 문화콘텐츠로서의 폭넓은 위상과 활용이 이뤄질 전망이다. <문경새재아리랑>은 근대 아리랑 형성의 모체가 된 아리랑 사적 위상을 지니고 있는 데다 문경새재가 아리랑고개를 낳은 실재 공간일 수 있다는 점에서 문화콘텐츠로서 가치가 크다. 이런 점에서 <문경새재아리랑>은 국내는 물론 북한과 해외의 아리랑을 연결하고 통합하는 ‘아리랑 네트워크 허브’로서 기능할 수 있으며, 아리랑 대표 메카 지자체로 발돋움할 수 있다. 따라서 문경지역의 <아리랑> 문화콘텐츠 개발 방향은 지역 단위 아리랑이 아닌 국가 차원의 아리랑 프로젝트를 문경새재를 중심으로 병행 추진할 필요가 있다. 그런 점에서 문경의 <아리랑> 문화콘텐츠 개발은 캐릭터 개발과 테마파크 조성, 축제 콘텐츠 개발, 스토리텔링 창작 등 4개 영역을 중심으로 전략을 수립할 것을 제시하였다. 특히 아리랑 고개의 상징적 공간인 문경새재에 <국립문경아리랑박물관> 건립을 중심으로 한 <아리랑> 테마파크 조성은 우리 민족의 정체성 확립과 고난 극복, 민족 화해와 통합을 도모하는 국가 차원의 프로젝트로 추진할 필요가 있다는 점을 강조한다.

Korea’s traditional folk song ‘Arirang’ which was added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list will have expected to the broad status and application of the global cultural contents with more growing interests at home and overseas. <Mungyeongsaejae Arirang> has the Arirang historical standing when it comes to forming Modern Arirang. Also, Mungyeongsaejae is great worth of a real place, which refers to ‘Arirang gogae (Arirang hill)’. In this point of view, <Mungyeongsaejae Arirang> which can be linked to the North Korea and overseas Arirang as well as domestic will have a role as ‘Arirang Network Herb’. Moreover, The city of Mungyeong will have grown into mecca of representing Arirang. Therefore, the aim of <Arirang> cultural contents development needs to pursue the governmental Arirang project based on Mungyeongsaejae at the same time. The city of Mungyeong is working to propose the four plans which are character developments, building theme park, local festival contents, storytelling creation. In particular, Building theme park including <National Mungyeong Arirang Museum> in Mungyeongsaejae, the original place of Ariranggogae is focused to promote the national project in terms of the national identity, overcoming difficulties, national reconciliation and integration.
