Malmquist 지수를 이용한 참외 생산성 변화 분석

(Analysis of the Productivity Changes of the Oriental Melon using DEA-Malmquist Productivity Index)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the productivity changes of Korean oriental melon farming by using raw data from 2005 to 2010. A DEAMalmquist approach was used as follows. Firstly, Malmquist productivity index was measured and it was decomposed into technical efficiency change and technological change. Secondly, the technical efficiency change was decomposed into pure efficiency change and scale efficiency change. Thirdly, the technological change was decomposed into pure technological change and scale technological change. The results show that the geometric averages of Malmquist productivity index, technological change, pure technological change and scale technological change were greater than 1. It means that productivity, technological change, pure technological change and scale technological change of oriental melon were increasing. And the geometric averages of technical efficiency change, pure efficiency change and scale efficiency change were less than 1. It indicates that technical efficiency change, pure efficiency change and scale efficiency change were decreasing.
