Analysis on the Status and Consciousness of CODEX Standards

The purpose of this study is to suggest the differentiated government policy through the analysis on the attitude of Kimchi’s producers and exporters. In order to achieve this purpose, we surveyed the domestic exporters and the oversea importers. We analyzed the actual using status and consciousness of CODEX standards of exporters and importers on Kimchi trade by non-parametric methods. The level of application and recognition is low, but the exporters and importers of Kimchi are thinking that the using of CODEX standards should be revitalized. In order to activate CODEX standards, they need to be promoted and interest in international Kimchi trade should be increased among the exporters and importers.
