This study focused on analyzing the economic feasibility of greenhouse gases (GHGs) reduction in agricultural sectors. Firstly, GHGs emission from intermittent irrigation plots reduced by 57.5% compared to that from continuously flooding plot meaning that intermittent irrigation could help contribute to ease the greenhouse gas accumulation in the atmosphere. Secondly, the intermittent irrigation system contributes to productivity, GHGs reduction, and water reduction, but the profit of paddy rice will decrease because of increase in fixed costs and variable costs. Thirdly, the economic feasibility shows that intermittent irrigation has a 0.97 in a benefit-cost ratio without government subsidy.
