Relationship between Safety and Policy Credibility of GM Foods

The purpose of this study is to analyze consumers’ perception on food safety and policy credibility of GM agri-food. The main results are as follow; Firstly, consumers’ perception on food safety and policy credibility of GM agri-food is interdependent. Secondly, knowledge level on GMO and satisfaction level on GMO related information affect consumers’ perception on both food safety and policy credibility on GM agri-food. Thirdly, consumers with higher confidence level on the way of GM agri-food management in the market have higher probability of having positive opinion on food safety of GM agri-food. Finally, consumers with children tend to have higher concern on food safety of GM agri-food while consumers who are more sensitive on price tend to have less concern on food safety of GM agri-food.
