근거이론에 의한 아버지의 양육적응과정 분석

Analysis of the father s parenting adaptation process by grounded theory

본 연구의 목적은 영유아자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육적응과정에 대해 심층적으로 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위해 영유아 자녀를 둔 12명의 아버지를 연구참여자로 하여 근거이론 질적 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 14개의 범주와 27개의 하위범주, 110개의 개념이 도출되었다. 중심현상은 ‘부딪힘’이었으며, 인과적 조건은 ‘부담감’과 ‘전통적인 성역할 태도’, 맥락적 조건은 ‘현실과 제도의 괴리’였으며, 중재적 조건은 ‘미안함’, ‘아빠로서의 존재감’, ‘양육지원’ 등이었다. 작용/상호작용은 ‘벗어나기’, ‘받아들이기’, ‘대안찾기’ 등 이었으며, 핵심범주는 ‘남편에서 아빠로 거듭나기’로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 영유아 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육적응과정에 대한 특수성과 보편성에 기초한 아버지의 일·가정양립지원 프로그램개발 및 가족복지에 있어 정책적, 실천적, 연구적 함의가 있을 것이다.
