A Strategy on the Free Trade Agreement between Korea and China and the Livestock Industry in Korea

Korea already finished FTA negotiations with 47 countries including the U.S., EU, AND Chile. Korea also try to make a conclusion in some other FTA negotiations with China, Japan, and New Zealand. Especially, the FTA between Korea and China, in which the first stage of negotiation was concluded and now is in the process of second negotiation, can have great impact on Korea s domestic agricultural industry. This study is implemented in order to make recommendations for systematic and step-by-step countermeasures to the domestic livestock industry through reviewing an ex-post assessment of the domestic livestock measures and their impacts on the livestock sector related to the Korea-Chile, the U.S., and EU FTA.
