Analysis on the effect of Characteristics of Rural Leaders on the Performances :

This study is aimed to analyze the causal relationship between characteristics of rural leader and performances from the point of agricultural management. Rural leader is core personnel who put systematization of regional agriculture into practice through agricultural producer organization. We set up the characteristics index of rural leaders ; agricultural management capacity, leadership capacity, and relationship capacity. And this characteristics index was used for conducting to survey of 236 leader of excellent agricultural producer organization designated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. This study analyzes casual relationship among characteristics of rural leader, farm income, activeness of producer organization and satisfaction of quality of life. And then analyzes direct and indirect effects and correlation between characteristics. According to the analysis of structural model, at first, agricultural management capacity has a significant influence on the farm income. Second, leadership capacity has a important influence on the satisfaction of quality of life. Third, relationship capacity has a affirmative influence on the facilitation of agricultural producer organization. And there is a close correlation among the three characteristics of rural leader.
