중국과 베트남 유학생의 한국어 읽기 능력 향상을 위한 교육방안 시사점연구

A Study on Educational Methods to Improve Reading Skills of Chinese and Vietnamese Students Studying Korean.

본 연구는 중국 유학생과 베트남 유학생을 중심으로 읽기 능력에 영향을 미치는 변인들과 구조관계를 파악함으로써 읽기 능력 향상에 효과적인 교육 방안에 대해 모색해보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 논의를 하면 다음과 같다. 조사대상자의 설문결과로 분석문항들에 대한 일반적인 특성을 알아보기 위한 나라별로 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 나라별로 한국어 읽기 능력 변인에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있는가의 연구 문제를 위하여 SPSS WINDOWS 22.0DF 사용하여 통계처리를 진행하였다. 표본의 일반적 특정분석에는 빈도 분석(Frequency Analysis)를 이용하였고,나라, 나이, 성별 분류변수에 따른 각 문항들의 응답 분포의 분석에는 교차분할표 분석(Cross tabulation Analysis)과 카이스퀘어 검정(χ2 검정)을 이용하였다. 한국어 능력시험 급수에 따라 나라에 따른 차이가 있는지를 검정해 본 결과 95% 신뢰 수준에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 읽기 활동 중이나 쓰고 난 후 교수님이나 동료가 본인에게 수정을 요구하는 부분의 경우 나라에 따른 차이가 있는지를 알아본 결과 95% 신뢰 수준에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한중국과 베트남 학생들을 비교 분석하여 나라별로 다른 교육지도법에 의한 접근과 교사-유학생 관계의 수업 방식을 보다 구체적으로 규명하였으며 외국인 유학생의 읽기능력 적응을 도울 수 있는 올바른 교육적 지도와 필요성에 대한 재인식을 고취시켰다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 지닌다고 볼 수 있다.

This study investigated variables that influence reading skills of Chinese and Vietnamese students learning Korean and their structural relationship, in order to propose an effective teaching method for improving reading skills. The method and results of this study were as follows: frequency analysis was conducted in order to understand general characteristics related to the questions in the analysis according to the nationality of the subjects. Statistical processing was performed by using SPSS Windows 22.0DF, regarding whether there is significant difference in Korean reading skills according to the nationality. To analyze general characteristics of the sample, frequency analysis was performed, and, to analyze distribution of responses to each question according to the nationality, age, and gender of the subjects, cross tabulation analysis and chi-square χ2 test was used. The test result showed that, at 95% confidence level, statistically significant difference in the level of Test of Proficiency in Korean was found according to the nationality. Also, at 95% confidence level, statistically significant difference was found regarding correction requested by the teacher or colleague during reading or after writing activities Therefore, this study compared and analyzed Chinese and Vietnamese students learning Korean language and clarified teaching methods and approach as well as the relationship between the teacher and foreign students according to the nationality of the students. Also, suggested proper educational instruction for foreign students and its necessity for helping improve reading skills of the students.
