Measuring Consumers Value of Quality-Certificated Peaches using Logit and Turnbull Models

The dichotomous-choice contingent valuation method is applied to elicit consumers value of quality-certificated peaches. First, a logit model is estimated like previous studies. Second, a distribution-free approach, Turnbull empirical distribution model, is employed to solve negative willingness to pay and truncation problems. The result is shown that consumers are willing to pay 2,559~2,975 Won/kg more than the current price of regular peaches for quality-certificated peaches.
