Dairy farm efficiency was estimated by data envelopment analysis(DEA) method using farm records surveyed over 94~ 97. The results revealed that dairy farm efficiency was lowered over 94~ 96 and turned upward in 1997 but fell short of the level in 1994. This implies that the various efforts to enhance the dairy farm efficiency in the post Uruguay Round period were not necessary successful. In addition, it turned out that dairy farm efficiency can be better ameliorated by eliminating inefficiency than by scale expansion.
