This paper investigates the social attitudes of local communities residents for hosting noxious facilities, and analysis determinants of decision making to allocate noxious facilities. Using a survey data for allocating an incineration plant in Ansung-Si, we found that the main factor to decide whether or not local communities residents agree the construction of an incineration plant is perception to waste disposal facilities. We also found social distrust and perception influences the likelihood of voting yes in a referendum to locate noxious facilities.
