Technological Diagnosis of Sow Breeding Using an Index Method

This research is based on five pig farmers breeding data over the course of two years. The index method is mainly used in order to examine the technology of sow breeding. This research also analyzes sow s gestation, farrowing, weaning result, farrowing rate, weaning rearing rate, and the actual output. Also, the index method and factors from the analysis period are used in combination to evaluate the success of the pig farm. The sow breeding result of the index method shows that two farmhouses (40% of the total study) suffer from below standard business management conditions. The other three farmhouses demonstrate sound business management decisions. Also, one of the two low standard farmhouses shows very low productivity, On the other hand, the remaining four farmhouses productivity is equivalent to the output of the Dodram Pig Farmer s Corporation.
