Optimal Location Analysis for the Rice Processing Complex in Dynamic Programming

Although the national importance of the rice processing complex(RPC) systems in the rice industry is widely acknowledged, it is only recently that the non-optimal location and the process planning problems encountered in these environment have begun to be addressed using industrial engineering and operations research techniques. The Method presented in this study allows an incorporation of the static and dynamic models to the RPC location problem into a computational efficient algorithm for finding an optimal plants location in time horizon. This dynamic model provides a synthesis of short and long-run decisions and the potential for plant configuration adjustment to be modeled.
