The basic objectives of this study were : to analyze the current state of labor in 2002, and to make a few suggestions on how this rural labor problem could be alleviated. In order to achieve these objectives, raw data were collected 142 farming households in 2002, which were selected based on four criteria, namely 1) islands, 2) mountainous area, 3) open field area, and 4) suburban area.
