Effect on Increase of Productivity and Technology Acceptability in Swine Farming

Reducing the cost of swine production requires reforms in many aspects of swine policy and continued technical development in farm practices. In this thesis, I examined why swine producers adopt the new technology method. The technology is considered a way to reduce the cost of production. Swine farms that have adopted new technology have serveral characteristics. They are large-scale farms in terms of raising, have good facilities, with higher farm wages and higher fees for transplanting work tend to adopt new technology. Socio-culturally, farms managers who have more farming education are more likely to accept new technology. Form the aspect of access to information, farms in regions with better rural officials are more likely to adopt new technology. The results show that the most important factor which influence the heads weaned was weekly batch management system, unity of breed, 2~3 site hog barn, feeding of liquid feed, artificial fertilization.
