Valuation of the Andong Folk Festival Assessed by Tourists

This paper is intended as an investigation of valuation of traditional culture preservation function in rural area. I would like to focus attention on the Andong Folk Festival. In short, 71.9% of the respondents who are residence to the Andong showed their willing payment to be used for the festival, 65.7% of the neighborhood. The value of WTP for preservation, the Andong residents and the neighborhood residents were 10,412 won and 8,679 won per household a month. Accordingly, The presumed value of the AFF was 7.4 billion won a year. On the basis of these heritage calculation, one may consicer differential admission fee policy.
