The objectives of the study are to construct integration models of hog and pork industry which may reduce costs and increase income in Korea. For this study all integrated firms operating in korea were surveyed. In total vertical integration, one firm owns (or at least controls) the system from production through processing, marketing. All decisions are made internally by the management pool of the organization. Total vertical integration generally build their own sow unit, feed company, or have outside investors build contract sow units. A cooperative integration is owned hog by producers, but is coordinated by a key facilitator such as feed companies, genetics companies, and marketing and information networks. There are types of combination from simple marketing alliances, to jointly owned production units, to feed-company-directed coordinated production systems. Produce alliances are generally groups of independent producers working together to buy inputs, to market collectively, to make brand, or to acquire or share information. Two or three site production system is better than the single site system for integrated hog and pork producing operation.
