Economic Effect of Agribusiness Cluster -A Case Study of Pig Industry-

Economic effect of agribusiness cluster appears in both regional industry and farm sector. In regional industry sector, agribusiness cluster induces increase of production and employment by the network construction between the industries. In farm sector, it increases farm income. The result of Input-Output analysis on the pig industry cluster showed higher economic effects in the fields of formula feed, agriculture, drink & food, wholesale & retail than in other related industries. Therefore, strengthening the network between the pig industry and above sectors are recommended for enhancing the economic effect of the pig industry cluster. Farm income rose through the saving of feed cost and breeding pig cost, the increase of pig selling price, etc.
