Recently, global warming becomes a more important environmental issue, so that the development of a bioenergy is urgent problem in each country. In this article, we analyze the possibility of bioenergy development in Korea and suggest a feasible strategy and 5 preliminary conditions to success in development bioenergy by using rape. A rural development by bioenergy is an endogenous regional development strategy. If we successfully utilize bioenergy program in rural area, it must be helpful to solve the farm income and energy problem in Korea. We can also have a more strong position in dealing with UNFCCC.
