Analyzing Potential Demand on Bio-Organ from Germ Free Pig

The main objective of this study is to analyze marketability of bio-organ by estimating the willingness to pay(WTP) for bio-organ of patients and medical doctors. From the results of survey, patients and medical doctors are highly expecting bio-organ products from germ free pig while they ask improving endurance and reducing discomfort. Patients average WTP for bio-organ which semi-permanent, 6 to 10 years of duration, 3 to 5 years of duration, less than 3 years of duration was about 46 million won (equivalent in 46 thousand US dollar), 28 million won, 16 million won, and 8.4 million won, respectively. Considering individual income, bio-organ with more than 6 years of duration is marketable.
