An Analysis of Factors behind Urban-Rural Exchange Through the 5-day Market

It is observed that while such factors as farm produce, cultural community, promotion are more effective in attracting people who have participated in urban-rural exchange before, farm and rural experience activities are more effective in attracting people with no such experience than local culture and traditional market scenes. People who visit traditional market to purchase farm produce are typically accompany their families or neighbours over the 40s with previous experience of visiting traditional markets, and think that the variety and low prices of produce are the traditional market s merits. People who visit traditional market to experience the rural activities, local cultures and traditional market scenes are typically professionals and students, accompany their families, friends or lovers in or under the 20s with no previous experience of visiting traditional markets, and think that the quality of farm produce and the rural cultural experience as traditional market s merits.
