헤어업스타일은 창의적인 발상과 감각을 표현하는 예술적인 성격을 바탕으로 기술이 이루어지는 헤어디자인으로 작품유형에 따라 그 특성이 다양하다. 이러한 헤어업스타일이 얼굴형에 따른 올림머리의 기술적인 요소는 어떠한 것이 있으며 창의성을 요하는 예술적 성격은 어떠한 것이 있는지 살펴보고 얼굴형에 따른 헤어업스타일의 결점이나 이미지를 시각적 형태를 이용하여 현대인의 결함을 보완하고 장점을 돋보이게 할 수 있는 계기가 되었으면 한다. 첫째, 얼굴형에 있어서 시각적 이미지는 얼굴의 장점을 최대한 살리고 단점을 보완하여 개성을 극대화하며 현대인들의 미적 욕구를 증대시켜 헤어업스타일의 시각적 역할의 중요 성을 부각시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 얼굴형에 따른 헤어업스타일의 변화연구를 통하여 고객의 이미지와 결점을 정확히 파악하고 개성을 업스타일 디자인 요소 원리들을 활용하여 얼굴형에 따른 헤어업스타일 디자인의 연구는 앞으로 지속적으로 생활 속에서 표현될 것으로 사료된다. 셋째, 얼굴형에 따른 헤어업스타일 변화에 영향을 미치는 것 중 가장 기본적인 것은 디자인의 형태, 색채, 질감이므로 먼저 각 요소가 형성되는 이미지를 파악하고 디자인 구상 에 이를 반영하여 시각적인 개념을 통한 헤어업스타일 이미지를 완성할 수 있도록 한다.

The up-style is a kind of hair designs which is based on creative ideas and senses, and its character can be various by individual works. Therefore, it has examined some technical factors regarding various kinds of face shapes, and also some specific artistic characters which require creativities. It is expected that this study becomes a good opportunity to find some ways of suitable up-styles by their face shapes. Firstly, it has demonstrated that visual images of various types of face shapes are critical to determine the ways which show up good points and make up for weak points in the light of hair styles. Secondly, it has showed that the different types of hair styles by face shapes, and identified individual images and defaults, which apply hair design principles. Thirdly, as the fundamental factors which influence hair up-styles related to face shapes are the design’s shape, color and texture. The images of individual factors should be identified first, and they should be applied to ideas. It is expected that more academic and creative technical studies will enhance individual up-styles.
