The purpose of this study was to study clinically the time and the influences of preoperative anticancer drug administration through the observation of the wound healing process of rats after preoperative administration of Cis-platin was used in OMS into rats. Each experimental group was administered Cis-platin at 3 days, 1 week, 3 weeks before, and then the tongue of rats were incised and sutured. The control group was incised and sutured without preoperative anticancer drug administration. All of them were sacrified and the sections of tissue were harvested at postoperative 1, 4, 7, 14 days. Paraffin section were made through the usual method. The specimens were stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin and MT staining for tissue response and collagen formation under the light microscope. The results were obtained as follows 1. In 1 day of control group there were the hemorrage, swelling & slight inflammatory response, and at 4 days blood vessels and fibroblasts began to proliferate and the infiltration of lympocytes were observed. At 7 days the degree of inflammation was decreased, and at 14 days the inflammatory respose was decreased significantly, but fibrosis was increased. 2. In the experimental groups administered 3 weeks (3rd group), 1 week (2nd group) before, fibrosis was observed and the thickness and keratinization of epithelium were similar to that of control group. 3. In the experimental group administered 3 days before, there were more chronic inflammation response and delayed wound healing than in the control group. From above results, in the experimental group administered 3 days before, the delayed wound healing with the infiltration of the acute and chronic inflammatory cell was seen.
