치아회분 매식 후 조직 반응에 관한 투과전자현미경적 연구

TRANSMITTED ELECTRONIC MICROSCOPIC STUDY ABOUT THE TISSUE REACTION AFTER THE IMPLANTATION OF TOOTHASH

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ultrastructural reaction around the implanted toothash with transmitted electronic microscope. Full-thickness bony defects were made on the rat calvaria with size of 10mm×10mm. The defect was filled with toothash. The defects were allowed to heal for 12 weeks befor killing the animals. Transmitted electronic microscopic examination was performed after 12 weeks. The following results were obtained: 1. In light microscopic examination 12 weeks after operation, there were no inflammatory and foreign body reaction. Implanted particles were encapsulated by mature connective tissue or united directly with newly formed bone. 2. In transmitted microscopic stduy, macrophage-like cells were evident around implanted toothash particles. These cells contained many mitochondria and vacuoles filled with toothash particles Osteocytes were observed in the newly-formed calc1f1ed bony matrix in some areas, inactive osteoblast-like cell was observed along with the newly-fromed bony margin.
