학령기 아동 낱말 의미검사의 표준화 연구

Standardization of the Korean Word Semantic Expressive Test for School Age Children

본 연구에서는 학령기 아동의 낱말 표현 능력을 평가할 수 있는 검사 도구를 표준화하는 과정에서 검사도구가 갖는 타당도와 신뢰도 및 평가 규준을 제시하고자 하였다. 학령기 아동의 언어능력을 평가할 때 어휘력은 매우 중요하며, 단어를 아는지 에 대한 단순한 평가를 넘어 단어 의미와 관련된 의미론적 자질에 관한 지식을 평가하는 것은 더욱 중요하다. 문헌연구와 예비 연구를 바탕으로 ‘학령기 아동 낱말의미표현검사(KWT)’ 에 대한 수정 작업을 하였으며, 본 연구를 위해 2014-2015년 서울, 부산, 광주 지역의 초등학생 600명으로 대상으로 표준화를 진행하였다. 이 과정에서 타당도와 더불어, 문항 내적일치도를 포함한 신뢰도 측정하였으며 규준작성을 위한기초 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 타당도와 더불어 문항 내적일치도와 반분신뢰 도, 검사-재검사 신뢰도로 살펴본 KWT의 타당도와 신뢰도는 매우 높음을 확인할수 있었다. KWT가 학령기 아동의 낱말표현 능력을 평가하고 의미발달을 진단하는데 유용하게 활용될 수 있음을 이번 분석을 통해 확인하였다. 또한 검사 도구의 최종 규준 작성을 위해서는 보다 세부적인 변별적인 규준 제작이 필요한 것이 지적되었다.

The present study examined ways to develop a standardized semantic expressive vocabulary test for school-aged children, the Korean Word Semantic Expressive Test(KWT). In preliminary studies four subtests were developed including word definitions, associations, semantic absurdities, and flexible word use. Six hundred typically developing Korean children in Grades 1-6 participated in this standardizing study. The results were as followed. (1) The reliability was measured by Chronbach a, test-retest and split-half correlation. It was highly reliable. (2) There were significant correlations between KWT and REVT scores. (3) We analyzed the norm for using as a standardized test. The results showed that the KWT was a valid and reliable test for measuring expressive semantic ability for school-aged children. The results were suggested to be modified in order to develop the comprehensive and precise final version of KWT.
