Facial paralysis results when nerve impulses are disrupted along the seventh cranial nerve pathway. Chronic disuse of the paralyzed facial muscles lead to atrophy and subsequently diminishes one s alternatives to treatment The surgical procedures used to rehabilitate the paralyzed face after injury to facial nerve can be considered with biologic nerve repair or graft, synergistic nerve crossover or substitution, and dynamic reanimation, etc. of these surgical procedures, contiguous muscle transposition is reliable surgical technique for the reanimation of patient with long-standing facial paralysis. It is often used for immediate treatment of complete facial paralysis due to insults leaving the facial nerve anatomically intact but requiring a prolonged recovery time. In our case of 65-year old man showed facial palsy with facial deformity, we treated with dynamic reanimation with temporalis muscle-fascia transposition, and gained acceptable results. Contiguous muscle transposition offers a viable solution to correcting this instance as a devastating deformity.
