The management of teeth in the line of a mandibular fracture remains controversial despite of general agreement in the current literature that most of these teeth can be preserved. Using Dental of Health Capacity in orthopantomogram, we suggest the state of oral hygiene. The data was collected from 168 teeth of 61 patient. The factors tactors taken into consideration were sex, age, total Dental health Capacity in orthopantomogram, bone level of first permanent molar, reduction method, splinting period, interval between injury and treatment, use of antibiotic, dental formula, tooth fracture, bone level of involved tooth, luxation, contact with fracture line and prognosis of involved tooth. The conclusion obtained is as follows : 1. Among the teeth in the line of jaw and alveolar bone fracture, teeth conserved are 72.0%, 7.1% for endodontic treatment, 20.8% for extraxction. 2. Teeth in the line of jaw and alveolar bone fractures especially teeth contacted with fracture line, tooth fracture, luxation of teeth and degree of total Dental Health Capacity showed significant influences on the prognosis. 3. The regression formula on prognosis is a follows ; Y=0.1564+0.458X1+0.4218X2+0.61149X3-0.0198X4 X1 : Classification of Fracture Line X2 : Luxation X3 : Tooth Fracture X4 : Dental health Copacity(Total) (R²=0.282209)
