A Study on the Characteristic of the Echo Boomers’House Selection

The purpose of this study is to explore important factors of the echo boomers’ newly-married house selection. In general, the echo boomers is meant to be the generation born from 1979 to 1992 during a period of fourteen years. Echo boomers is one of hot issues in the housing market. Because of their characteristics of house and purchasing power, current housing market is paying attention to the generation. Through this study, how the real estate, housing environment, social and economic characteristic factors can affect the echo boomers’ newly-married house selection is figured out. The analysis was done based on 308 significant research materials gathered from the questionnaires. For analysis methodology, this research is using SPSS 18.0 along with analytic techniques, such as implementation of basic statistical analysis, reliability, and structural analysis. Following is the results summary of the research : First, it is find that the first important factor is the region status characteristic for the echo boomers’ newly-married house selection. Second, it is find that second important factor is the education environment characteristic. Third, it is find that third important factor is the life convenience characteristic. In addition, family characteristic, environmentally friendly characteristic, and residential location characteristic are find to be important factors in the choice of the echo boomers’ newly-married house. This study have an academic importance about diversity of the echo boomers and a working-level importance about housing policy planning of the government, a substantive help of the housing market provider.
