Allplastic graft materials have been used for tissue graft materials as employed today originated in the last decades and he variety of corrosion-resistant materials increased markedly. This increase in types of materials and in applications has stemmed in large part from the surgeons desire for better results, for better aesthetic appearence, and for avoidance of the morbidity and pain associated with the second operation at the donor site to procure autogenous tissue. In this article, to compare the cytotoxicity of these materials, each collagen matrix, methylmethacylate, porous polyethylen and silicone were inserted to the culture media with fibroblast extracted form I.C.R. mouse and were incubated for 2, 4, 7 days respectively. The cytotoxicity was measured by the viable fibroblast cell numbers in the vicinity of the inserted material surface and compared with the normal control group. The results were as follows: 1. Cellular toxicity of the collagen matrix were lower than the other implant materials. 2. The highest cellular toxicity were recorded in methylmetacrylate, especially the living cells were not observed in adjacent to he implanted body. 3. Cellular toxicity of the porous polyethylene was extremely at fourth day of culture, but repaed at seventh day. 4. Cellular toxicity of the silicone did not showed initially, but appeared from fourth day and which was continued at seventh day with mild degree.
